What I am learning:
In Spanish 1, I am learning the basics of the Spanish language. We began by learning basic things such as numbers and the alphabet. From this, the work progressely got more difficult, which means we are learning completely new concepts. Recently we have been working on names and descriptions of objects and people and conjugating words.
How I learn
In this class, we learn by every possible way. We listen to Mrs. Jorge, then we practice saying it ourselves. Sometimes we take notes or watch videos to help us remember something. We then do work to practice what we have learned then usually we get to play a game involving our knew knowledge. After this, we take a quiz or test so we can see how much we really did learn.
Why I am learning
I am learning this for various reasons. First, knowing a differnt language wil make me a more diverse person, and in that I will be able to relate to more people. Also, if I visit a Spanish-speaking country I will be able to understand and commmunicate with the people there.
Where I am in progress toward my goal
I am progressing toward my goal, to learn and use the Spanish language, each and every day. The more I learn and practice, the better I will become, and the closer to my goal I will be. Even though I am progressing, there is still much to be learned and I look forward to this, so that i can someday achieve my goal.
2nd nine weeks:
What I am learning
This nine weeks, we added on to what we learned form the first part of the semester. We learned about the weather, days of the week, months, food, andmany more things. We also added more conjugations to our vocabulary.
How I learn
I have notice that in Spanish, partner and group work helps me understand whatever we are doing faster. I also like how we play educational games that help me learn, but they're still fun. This along with the notes, verb pocket, and projects is how I learn.
Why I am learning
I am learning Spanish so that I am able to communicate with a range of people and it will also broaden my knowledge of the world. It will help me communicate in other countries as well as in the United States.
Progress toward my goal
This nine weeks has brought me even closer to my goal. I am able to speak in a wide variety of subjects. I am continuing to use it in other atmospheres other than the classroom. There is still much room for learning and improvement and I am excited to continue to advance toward my end goal.
Spanish II:
In this class I have built on what I learned in Spanish I as well as learned many new things. I feel that I have a better understanding of the Spanish language and I'm impressed by how much I have learned and how far I've come. I now know much more vocabulary as well as different tenses, so now I can improve my sentences and my sentence structure. Although I have learned a lot, I still need to practice a few things such as when to use certain tenses such as the imperfect or preterite. I do believe that knowing what I do about the Spanish language will help me down the road because it is a widely known language and now I would be able to communicate with anyone who speaks Spanish if needed.
